FBS Wins First Honor of the Year

I never win anything.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a mean Madden Player, perhaps one the greatest Spades players to ever live, probably an untitled Chess Grandmaster, and straight-up trouble if you ran up on me in Never Winter Nights a few years ago (you had better had your boys with you because my Drow Sorceror/Paladin - and yes I said Paladin - would rock your entire party) not to mention at one time a more than serviceable playground baller, and an incredibly lucky Bingo player, but I never win to many team oriented accolades. Even when I played football we had to give up our undefeated season in our last game because we looted the other team’s locker room after the game, and I do mean of everything, from there clothes, shoes, jewelry, wallets, walkmans (some of you young people may not know what those are - think archaic portable music players), to the refreshments: cut-up oranges and coolers full of gatorade.
Which is why I’m very thankful that the OF section of Wotmania voted Fantasybookspot.com their favorite SF/F Fan Site. If you sent me a T-Shirt, I’d rock it - and I don’t even like Robert Jordan’s fiction. Whether you run a blog or a site (or both) this is a pretty thankless hobby and while not exactly covering the amount of people an ESPN Poll does, I’m glad that even a single person decided to vote for us! Most thanks should go to Dave and Damon, who for some reason decided to make there venture more challenging by taking my punk ass on, and our contributors - who at the moment I’m just loving.

Thats awesome. Thanks! I wonder do they have a little banner or award icon we can put on FBS? If not they should with a link back to their site or something

Well, considering that quite a few of us come here for the reviews, the interviews, and the contests, it is only fitting that FBS be honored. And Jay, you better watch out - next year, we’re probably going to have a separate category for Blogs
Sorry Damon, but we don’t have any banner or award icons available. I would have to ask our webmaster, Mike, but I think he’s too busy being a college prof down in Austin, TX to do the programming soon, but I’ll try to remember to ask him the next time I see him around.
But of course, for everything…not just a you’re welcome, but also a warm thank you as well from the people who do visit FBS, whether it be from wotmania or elsewhere

I did hear an ugly rumor that FBS was going to do tshirts in 07, maybe I started it though. I say we put OF-WOT Approved on the back. Jay will probably want one for free though.
